Our goal is to promote actions aimed at education, awareness-raising, recognition, and achievement of equal opportunities with the aim of combating discrimination, eliminating prejudices, and overcoming stereotypical gender roles and sexism, which create favorable contextual conditions for the perpetuation of violence against women. Building collective responsibility represents the basis upon which to find change.
Women who are victims of violence face enormous challenges, and self-acceptance is a fundamental step in their recovery journey. Asking for help is not a sign of weakness, but of great strength. This process can inspire other people to become advocates and activists in the fight against gender-based violence, representing a significant contribution to a safer and more respectful society.
Addressing violence against women requires a comprehensive approach, including recognition of the signs, access to services, legal support, psychological assistance, economic resources, and education on gender-based violence. Collaboration between institutions and communities is crucial, along with a cultural change and listening to victims.
Inclusivity is a fundamental pillar in the fight against violence against women, as respect for the diversity of experiences related to race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, and socio-economic conditions is essential. Policies must therefore be carefully designed to take these differences into account, ensuring that every woman has access to adequate support and resources.
